HAE-HUN YANG
Movie poster for Who’s That Knocking at My Door?
That groovy piece of graphic design up there is a movie poster for the 2007 South Korean flick Jeo-su-jie-seo geon-jin-chi-ta (or Who’s That Knocking at My Door? in English). The movie’s written and directed by Hae-hun Yang… it’s a thriller… and, well… that’s about all we know about it. Oh yeah, of course, and it has an ace poster. It’s the type behind the glasses that hooked us. Class.
MADAME
Air France’s Madame magazine for high-flying women
Not sure why we’re so excited about this (after all, we’re guys who fly economy), but Air France publishes a magazine for women flying first and business. It’s called Madame, it’s edited by Condé Nast, and it’s been going for over 20 years. Like we said, not sure why we’re so excited… but we are. That is all.

GCM #06 PRE-ORDER

Gym Class Magazine issue #06 is now available for pre-order. Woot!
The all-new Gym Class Magazine – The Magazine Fanboy Issue – celebrates magazine-makers and includes interviews with…
Andrew Diprose, art director of The Ride Journal and UK Wired;
Penny Martin, editor in chief of The Gentlewoman;
Clara Montagut, art director of Spanish Esquire; and
Joerg Koch, co-founder of 032c.
There’s also a Spanish Esquire gallery featuring every cover so far; our first fashion feature celebrating this summer’s must-have accessories (here’s a hint… they’re magazines); and COVERS creator John Paul Thurlow has created a lush illustration of Julianne Moore (as seen on the cover of T, The New York Times Style Magazine).
In non-magazine news… Gym Class Magazine #06 also includes five must-dos while in Berlin, we chat with four-piece band and next-big-thing I Dream In Colour, and we look forward to killer fish flick remake Piranha 3-D.
Cover B – the Butt limited edition cover, available online only
For the spec geeks… the new-look Gym Class Magazine #06 is 24 pages, a man-bag friendly 195mm x 265mm, and printed full-colour with a high gloss cover. Both covers were shot by ace Swedish photographer Knotan. The model is Melker Andersson of Stockholm agency Kid of Tomorrow. The clothes are by lush label Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair.
Did we mention it’s available for pre-order now? Copies will be posted in a couple of weeks. Can I getta woo woo?
LADY GAGA
We love how Lady Gaga blurs pop and high fashion. Check out this latest music video – Alejandro – directed by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein. This is what pop should be… spectacle… not the lazy, cheap bull-crap that typically pollutes the charts.
Oh, and we especially love the deliberate Madonna references. Spectacle and humour… yes, that’s what pop should be. The video is ace… and damn sexy.
NEW YORK
New York magazine’s Best Doctors 2010 cover
Geez, the New York magazine art department can even make a teddy bear on the cover look good. Oh… and Bret Easton Ellis’s ghosts. Coolio. Why, oh why, can’t we buy New York magazine in London? *stamps foot like a spoiled child*
