EEFF
Fancy yourself as the next Scorsese, Cameron or Coen? Of course you do! Well London peeps, you’re in for some serious win. The East End Film Festival kicks off today and there’s a smorgasbord of things for you to get your filmmaker-in-training ass along to.
Über advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy is hosting a Filmmakers Centre which will be running surgeries, workshops and networking events throughout the Festival. For example, BAFTA is presenting a discussion between top creatives and department heads on production mishaps; the UK Film Council scrubs up for a script development surgery; a group of “all-round 3D gurus and geeks” (their words, not ours) are presenting a 3D workshop; and leading Brit producers and casting folk will be presenting a casting chinwag.
It’s all happening out east. Now, get out of bed. Have a wash. And sort yourself out. That eight-hour 3D biopic isn’t gonna make its self. More information about the Filmmakers Centre and programme here.
The Festival runs until 30 April.
Oh, and there’s also a full schedule of screenings for peeps happy just watching movies. Bless. The screening programme is here.
