GCM#06 FLIP THRU

Word, peeps.

Here’s a flip thru of Gym Class Magazine #06. Win! Watching the above vid is like being in a newsagent, flipping through the magazines… but without the cranky store owner screaming “NO READING THE MAGAZINES!”. Nice one.

The theme of Gym Class Magazine #06 is THE MAGAZINE FANBOY ISSUE. It’s jam-packed with magazine goodness. You can find out more about the issue here.

And, of course, you can pick yourself up a copy here.

Laterz.

V MAGAZINE

Four covers. 1,000 copies of each. Scratch-off panels. Kinda like the recent Wired UK cover… but with naked women. Available from the V Magazine shop soon.

Above: grabs from the latest issue of Kinki magazine

Swiss culture magazine Kinki has a feature on magazines in its current issue. And, oh, would you look at that… the fine Kinki folk have thought to include Gym Class Magazine. WoOt! Check it out by hitting up the Issuu link on the Kinki website.

That’s a photograph by Knotan on the cover. He’s also shot the cover of the current issue, back from the printer today. Yes, today! You can pick yourself up a copy here. Coolio shaker.

BRAD KREMER

A screen grab from Hayaku: A Time Lapse Journey Through Japan

Brad Kremer is the guy behind this lush time-lapse video of Japan. We’re fascinated by all things Japan, so this painstakingly-crafted short is a joy.

Originally spotted over on SNOW Magazine (another must for Japan fans).

I.T. POST

The latest issue of I.T. Post magazine offers up a whole lotta magazine-y goodness. It all kicks off around the 1:40 mark… its got gate-folds, flip-book pages and even a pop-up (yes, a real 3-D paper pop-up).

Speaking of magazine-y goodness, here are some other gems.

SOFIA COPPOLA

The poster for Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere

The new Sofia Coppola flick Somewhere looks lush. Love her style.

This makes us very excited… part of it is filmed at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. In fact, the movie poster up there was shot at the Chateau Marmont. We’ve swam naked in its pool (unfortunately we can’t remember that) and was too hungover to eat the amazing breakfast it’s kitchen served (unfortunately we can remember that). Rock and roll, peeps. That’s where it’s at.

Originally spotted over on the ace Might & Wonder.

HAE-HUN YANG

Movie poster for Who’s That Knocking at My Door?

That groovy piece of graphic design up there is a movie poster for the 2007 South Korean flick Jeo-su-jie-seo geon-jin-chi-ta (or Who’s That Knocking at My Door? in English). The movie’s written and directed by Hae-hun Yang… it’s a thriller… and, well… that’s about all we know about it. Oh yeah, of course, and it has an ace poster. It’s the type behind the glasses that hooked us. Class.
